KEY OBJECTIVES
Simple food preparation in accordance with instruction from cook in charge
Wash, clean and store all kitchen equipment used.
Dishwashing as required
Assisting cook to dish and serve plated meals as required
Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls and cupboards as necessary
Maintain regular cleaning of catering equipment i.e. fridges as required
Reheat, prepare and serve simple meals
KNOWLEDGE
You must have experience of food production within a catering unit and a sound knowledge of health and safety practices within a kitchen environment. The REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.
