WAEML provides support, information, advocacy and temporary refuge accommodation to women, children and young people who have been subjected to domestic abuse. If you can commit to upholding the rights of women, children and young people, this may be the job for you.
We have a part-time (0.5 FTE) vacancy for an experienced practitioner within our team Based in East Lothian to deliver individual and group work support to children and young people. We are looking for enthusiastic feminists who share our core values. You will be expected to demonstrate a gender-based and trauma-informed approach to service delivery and will be expected to take a multi-agency approach to your work.
Candidates ideally have a minimum of 2 years work experience working with children or young people. Membership of the PVG scheme is an essential requirement, and you should hold a qualification in children’s development, learning or similar.
This post is available on a fixed term until 31.03.2028 (With possible extension on securing funding).
Travel across East Lothian and Midlothian is required therefore a full current driving licence would be an advantage but not essential.
