Local Entrepreneur Creates Loyalty Scheme To bring Business Back to Dalkeith High Street

Pigeon Penguin owner, Phil Bowen, has developed Loyalty Pigeon, an app designed to encourage people back to their high street to support local businesses and have the opportunity to win prizes.

Pigeon Penguin

Dalkeith based Pigeon Penguin specialise in website and app development and design for SMEs. Working closely with businesses, Pigeon Penguin help them to streamline processes, digitise systems and create engaging websites showcasing their brand.

A major focus is their new app, Assure360 designed for the construction industry. Assure360 allows organisations to easily, and remotely, manage health and safety, audits and workflows. This has not only removed the need for endless sheets of paper and checklists, it allows those on site to communicate effectively with head office at the click of a button.

Loyalty Pigeon

The app creation side of the business has led to the development of the brilliant Loyalty Pigeon, encouraging visitors back to local high streets and rewarding them for it.

Being trialled in Dalkeith, the app offers rewards for customers who frequent their local high street stores. It also promotes local businesses to customers, offers prize giveaways and connects businesses to drive collaboration.

Collect Loyalty Points

Each business registered with Loyalty Pigeon displays a unique QR code. When a customer scans the QR code they receive loyalty points for that business and an entry into monthly prize draws. Each local business will have their own QR code, meaning prize draws can be for each business separately or for the high street as a whole!

How can businesses get involved?

Loyalty Pigeon is being trialled in Dalkeith with plans to roll out across Midlothian in the future. In partnership with One Dalkeith, the local Development Trust, Dalkeith based businesses will receive the first 3 months free to try this fantastic new programme with future costs supporting the trust to continue their community focussed work and events.

Businesses will also feature in the Loyalty Pigeon Business Directory to give added exposure and encourage visits. Offers can be given specifically to those who have scanned the dedicated QR code and businesses can see analytical data to show how successful their QR code has been.
