Having taught, assessed portfolios and interviewed applicants for 10 years at Edinburgh College of Art Julie realised that there was a gap. A gap between what was happening in some schools and what was being expected by the art colleges / universities.
And this echoed Julie’s OWN experience some 20 years previously, as she herself was a student who didn’t get a place at art college for the exact reasons that her teaching seeks to address!
