Rosemains Steading creates a vibrant business community
On the edge of Pathhead, overlooking an expanse of open fields, lies a newly converted steading offering workshop and studio space for a number of highly creative, original brands. Rosemains Steading has moved from farm to bustling business hub offering a unique space for innovative businesses.
Will and Henrietta Callander are the dynamic minds behind the new Rosemains Steading. With a track record of business development, land management and diversification, PR, Marketing and Brand Development between them, they’ve channelled their expertise, transforming the site into a business destination with plenty of future plans!
Originally used as farm storage, the converted barns and outbuildings that create the new Rosemains Steading have been completely repurposed with an outstanding finish. Creative businesses are flocking to be part of this very special close-knit business community. Nine fully converted workshops are now occupied with the final unit of their first build phase underway. A second phase converting a large storage barn is imminent with planning permission granted.
When converting the buildings, Will and Henrietta kept sustainability at the forefront. Reuse of materials is evident throughout the space with elements being introduced in stylish and unusual ways. In the communal kitchens you’ll find cupboard doors made out of old grain storage, steel girders made into door lintels and an abundance of scrap wood used to create unique features, furniture and talking points. All this adds to the charm, sustainability and artisan craftsmanship that Rosemains Steading exudes.
