Partnering with Zero Waste Scotland and Bright Green Business, Saltire Patisserie is set to revolutionize its production process, reduce food waste, and promote environmental responsibility.

As part of this initiative, Saltire Patisserie is working with a Circular Economy Intern to explore innovative ways to repurpose brewery by-products, such as used grains, to create new and delicious bakery products. Midlothian Business Green Pledge

Saltire Patisserie have also signed up to the Midlothian Business Green Pledge, further showcasing their dedication to operating in a sustainable, environmentally friendly way. Since pledging, the business has been working with Business Energy Scotland to further develop their green practices including having an assessment for installing solar panels at their premises, looking at energy and carbon saving equipment options and increasing their fleet of electric delivery vans.
