Tyne & Esk Rural Communities Development Fund Open for Applications
A new Rural Communities Development Fund has launched today, 7th November 2022, to support local rural communities and business networks to build knowledge and skills. The fund will close to applications on Wednesday 30th November at midnight.
The Fund has Capital Grants up to £5,000 and Revenue Grants up to £10,000 available, with no match funding requirement.
Tyne & Esk Rural Communities Development Fund
The Tyne & Esk Rural Communities Development Fund replaces the previous European Rural Development Fund ‘LEADER’ and forms part of the Scottish Government’s Community Led Local Development (CLLD) Rural Programme.
The fund is open to all businesses, social enterprises, charities and communities based in rural areas of Midlothian and East Lothian. Please note, Dalkeith and Musselburgh are exempt from this funding.
This fund aims to encourage innovation and co-operation in order to deliver local development objectives identified on the Tyne Esk Funding Strategy and Community Led Vision.
To apply for the Rural Communities Development Fund, your project must meet at least one of the Scottish Government Outcomes together with one or more Tyne & Esk Outcomes.
Does your project support young people, Scotland’s Net Zero goals or help to reduce poverty? If you can also show that you will focus on encouraging local growth and access to services, support your local community to tackle isolation or provide community groups with the means to carry this out, you may be eligible for the Rural Communities Development Fund. The fund puts communities at its heart and will help to keep services, provisions, jobs and wellbeing local.
