Vogrie Pogrie brings a family friendly festival to Midlothian

A celebratory weekend of innovative open air performance and creative happenings is coming to Vogrie Country Park.

Trotwork Events and the Blundabus, in collaboration with Midlothian Council and thanks to Creative Scotland, are delighted to present Vogrie Pogrie, a highly accessible and family-friendly festival taking place entirely outdoors, in the beautiful setting of Vogrie Country Park. This year's festival is taking place from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th September.

A look back at 2021's Festival Line Up

Vogrie Pogrie's free performances in 2021 included:

Colonel Mustard & The Big Bad Wolf: musical theatre production from the frontman of Scotland’s most exciting festival bands. “Idiosyncratic storytelling” (The List).

Phil Kay: Legendary Award Winning Scottish Comedian, Storyteller, Musician and Wrangler of the Present Moment. “Gimme Your Left Shoe”

Rowanbank: Environmental Arts & Education social enterprise. Innovative, family-friendly events, workshops and magical outdoor experiences.

Swallow The Sea Caravan Theatre: Scottish arts collective, puppetry, object theatre, poetry, installation and live soundscape.

Lucy Hopkins: Award-winning clown priestess, touring genre-busting, interactive performances around the UK & Europe

Robin & Daddy: For lovers of lego, one of Scotland’s finest GBC (Great Ball Contraption) circuits, presented by this father and son dreamteam.

Bam Jam: A collective of creatives that facilitate open access to the arts for people of all backgrounds, a vibe of safety and expression.

The BlundaBus has been a space for the joyfully unexpected since 2016, delivering creatively and commercially successful immersive arts experiences at the Edinburgh Fringe, Glastonbury and Kelburn Garden Party as well as around the UK, Ireland, Denmark and Norway.

Vogrie Pogrie Camping and Woodland Cabaret

In addition to this free weekend daytime event, tickets are available for Vogrie Pogrie’s Woodland Cabaret on Saturday evening and weekend camping in the park. Book your tickets now to avoid disappointment.

Vogrie Country Park

Vogrie Country Park, near Gorebridge, has 105 hectares of woods and Victorian parkland including a 1876 Victorian mansion - part of which is open to the public, a nine-hole golf course, miniature railway, woodland walks, adventure playground and an excellent cafeteria.
